The Suspenders will be performing at Sandwich Town Hall at 5:00PM tonight~ The SUSPENDERS JUGGLING TROUPE was formed in 1984 by three residents of Falmouth, Massachusetts. With the objective of winning hearts and bringing smiles to the faces of the world around them, they have been charming audiences from San Diego to Switzerland, and all in between. Their act has spread joy and jest far and wide for years.

There will be food vendors at First Night~

The Rotary will have all kinds of things and Momo’s will be offering desserts in a cafe-like setting upstairs at Town Hall~

Neila Neary, Joe Giampietro, Beth’s Bakery and Cafe, and Melinda Gallant thanked the host for holding a successful kick-off, Wednesday, December 5. The pastries were donated by Beth’s and the Wine by Canterbury Liquors.

Neighborhood groups, Clubs, families of all ages and sizes are welcome to usher in the New Year with noise makers, masks, colorful puppets, and festive music. So get your creative side sparking and be a part of First Night Sandwich Revelers Parade!

Training will be held before the event for all volunteers. We would like this to be mandatory but certainly understand that many of you may have other obligations. However, it will be very helpful if you can come so that everyone will know where they need to be and what you are being asked to do. The training is being held on Friday December 28th from 4pm-6pm (refreshments served!) in the Multi- Purpose Room at the Wing School in Sandwich.  Please let us know either way.
We will give you all the info you need to create a great evening for you and all who come!

You are welcome to register for more than one shift. We will try to assign you to the venue of your choice but reserve the right to place you as most needed. Typical volunteer roles include greeters, ticket takers, admission monitors, activity helpers and merchandise/button handlers. Please note venues are still to be determined, however most venues will be located in the village area.

NOTE: Children ages 8-15 years may accompany a consenting adult during a volunteer shift. One such child per adult, please. We cannot accept children volunteers under the age of 8. Parents are required to sign a form for children ages 8-16 years. Volunteers 17+ years old may work without parental supervision.

First Night Sandwich will begin at 4pm and end with a Grand finale at 9pm. Performances and hands-on activities will be focusing on children, children’s participation and family entertainment.  Examples of programs include face painting, juggling and acrobatics, music, storytelling, puppet performances, activities, crafts and games, music and theater.

First Night venues will be in various buildings in the village of Sandwich. Performances will be no more than 40 minutes in length and begin on the hour.  Artists will be working in both outside venues as well interior venues. A Mardi Gras style Grand Procession down Main Street will begin at 6 pm.
